Patti Gemmell was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and spent her formative years in Cole Harbour. Over the course of her life, she has also called Dartmouth, Gagetown (New Brunswick), and Greenwood (Nova Scotia) home. Patti's educational journey led her to NSCC, where she studied Business Information and Technology, followed by Commerce studies at St. Mary’s University.

Professionally, Patti dedicated 37 years to teaching figure skating in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, fostering a love for the sport among countless students. Her expertise extended beyond the ice rink to roles such as Gift Shop Manager and Bookkeeper at the Shearwater Aviation Museum for 14 years, and presently, she has been serving as a real estate professional with Assit 2 Sell HomeWorks Realty in Halifax for the past 5 years.

In her personal life, Patti finds joy in spending time with her family, which includes her husband, a retired military, her daughter Rachel, her son Troy, and her three cherished grandchildren: Ave (15), Maverick (6), and Jax (3). Her hobbies include knitting and simply enjoying life's moments.

Patti Gemmell's commitment to her community extends to her service areas in Halifax, Dartmouth, and the broader HRM region. Although she speaks only English, her warmth and dedication are universally understood by those who know her.
